随着赴美留学读本科的高中生越来越多，越来越多的人了解了美国高考SAT考试，SAT考试满分2400分，分为三个部分:
一、critical reading目 67题 (800分) 70分钟(two 25分钟 test section )and one 20 分钟 test section
1) sentence completion(填空) 19题
2) passage-based reading(阅读) 48题
二、writing 49题(about 600分左右)+1 essay(about 200分)
1)identifying sentence errors(识别错误IE题型) 18题
2) improving sentences (改正句子IS题型) 25题
3) improving paragraphs(改正文章IP题型) 6题
4) Essay writing 1篇
三、Math 800分
1)multiple choice 44题
2)student-produced response(grids in)10题
整个考试要3小时45分钟。所有选择题的评分标准是一样的：回答正确一个问题得1分，回答错误扣0.25分。 SAT成绩是许多大学考虑你入学申请的一个因素。你可以重复多次参加这个考试。有一半的高中生参加了至少两次以上的SAT考试。
今天我们来重点谈一下writing 部分最重要的一个题型IE题型(识别错误题)
语法改错(18个问题)。这种题型非常类似于托福语法中的改错部分，即识别一个句子当中四个下划线里语法有错误的选项。不过SAT的语法与托福语法最大的区别在于，它还有第五个选项放在句后：NO ERROR，选择这个选项即认为这个句子没有语法错误。这种题型目的在于：当你在写文章时，有能力发现文章中的错误同时自已在写文章过程中避免犯这样的错误。
The following sentence test you ability to recognize and usage errors. Each sentence contains either a single error or no error at all. No sentence contains more than one error. The error, if there is one, is underlined and lettered. If the sentence contains an error, select the one underlined part must be changed to make the sentence correct. 从Direction我们可以看出，IE题型题目出现的错误有两大类 1)语法错误 2)词的用法错误但无论是哪一种错误都必须遵守标准书面语(standard written English)要求常见的错误如下。
